| Google Terminator And Free Traffic November 26, 2009 at 9:02 pm |
| Hey there and thanks alot for visiting today. In this short post I just wanted to tell you about a new product coming next week that looked interesting to me called Google Terminator. Chris Fox is the man behind the Google Terminator. The main reason that this product interests me is because it seems to all be about making money from free traffic. It may interest you to know that most of my income comes from free traffic and promoting affiliate offers which is why Google Terminator interests me so much. From what I’ve seen so far of G Terminator I can say without doubt that it does work. You’ll probably see when the sales page is released that he made around 4k from the commission blueprint 2 product launch which is pretty impressive. From the little I’ve seen on Google terminator so far it seems to be about ranking for product launches but the bad thing about that is that there’s so many people doing it these days that it’s become overly competitive and harder for newbies to make any money. But the truth is that Chris was number 1 for one of the biggest launches this year, the commission blueprint 2 launch so he obviously has something good to teach. One thing that lets it down a little for me is that it sounds too hypey. Google terminator sounds like just another product launch leeching off the Google brand. In all honesty I hope people can look around the hype and the whole ‘Google’ thing in the name because the content from what I’ve seen really is pretty good. And although it teaches you about ranking for product launches the real power is ranking for keywords that get searched all year round. In my opinion from what I’ve seen of this product there’s some pretty good information in there. Google Terminator is being released next week so if you can put up with the hype then this is one you’ll want to watch out for. Hey! Take a look at my google terminator site now for an honest google terminator review today. Related Tutorial |

| Getting The Right Wine Gifts For Someone Special November 26, 2009 at 3:18 am |
| Who wouldn’t like to receive a good vintage wine as a gift got that special occasion? Most people would love any kind of wine gifts that are given to them. Giving someone a nice bottle of wine is one of the friendliest gestures there is. Choosing the wine is the hard part. Does the person you have in mind for a gift of wine have a particular favorite kind of wine? If you don’t know, you can usually get a brand that is generally popular that your person would enjoy. Most people who receive wine gifts re simply happy for your gesture. The better the wine would be a bonus. One way to get around the favorite choice of wine for the person you are giving your gift to is to choose a red and white wine. In this way you have all the bases covered. If you don’t know a lot about wine, you may do some research about it that will help you in choosing the best you can afford. You can do this kind of research on line and you may even learn some things about wine that you never knew. There is a difference in white wine and red wine besides just the color. A lot of people may not realize that you can’t age white wine for as long as you can red wine. This has to do with an important aging ingredient called tannin. This ingredient is found in the grape skin. More skin is used in the making of red wine to enhance color and therefore there is more tannin, which allows for longer aging time. You should give white wines for the occasions that are special, but not as special as those that you would want to save a red wine for like New Year’s Eve. This is why wine gifts that contain both are so good because you will be two gifts in one. This is one gift that will be greatly appreciated. You could wrap them up in paper and place a bow for the perfect gift. A wine basket is a great idea because you can put in not only red and white wines, but you can add some other neat items to round off the basket. These items could be wine glasses and a corkscrew to make a complete wine drinking set. This would be a really nice gift for anyone. You can add other things to a gift basket in addition to wine. Cheese, crackers, pretzels and smoked sausages are a few foods that would be great as a snack with a glass wine to follow. You should also add a dreamy tasting candy like butterscotch or English toffee as well. If you aren’t the creative type, maybe it would be easier for you to buy a wine basket with everything already in it. As far as wine gifts go, this is one of the best you could give. These pre made baskets are really nice and some contain some neat snacks that will go perfectly with wine. You can find these baskets on line. | Discover The Benefits Of Using Automated Article Submission Software November 25, 2009 at 6:45 pm |
| I am sure if you are someone that does work on the internet with articles, then you have heard about the Automated Article Submission Software, but do you really know what it is? If you have never had experience with the software, but are thinking about using something of the sort, then you should know that it is a type of tool used for submitting many articles automatically. Usually, many of the people that use this software do it for the purpose of increasing the numbers they have in people to their site. This is not the only use of the software however. The software basically surrounds the ability of immediate submissions to places for people who want their articles read. Numerous different types of this software is out there. Everyone has its advantages and disadvantages. In order to pick the best one for you, it is always good to know all about the general software. Most refer to the Automated Article Submission Software as invaluable as a tool, due to the way that it can submit articles to various different directories. It allows the person who uses it, unlimited article submissions to numerous amounts of directories. In addition, the person increases the chances they have for having their article read as well. The Automated Article Submission Software does submit articles at a good number of different places, but it does not mean that the articles can lack quality. Most people, who read articles on the Internet, look for quality. When you cannot give this to a person, then they will go somewhere else. Many times you can lose traffic by poor quality as well. In addition, you could reduce any chances that you had with getting your articles circulated among publishers and webmasters. When they read articles, they are looking for quality. When you use this kind of software, you raise the chances of one of them reading your material. Often, people fail to realize that the directories will usually circulate the material they get to publishers. If a publisher takes on your article, then you have even more of a chance of having the material submitted read. Just think, if you tried submitting your articles to the number of different directories that the software does, then you would most likely spend hours or days doing this. After some time, this can become quite boring to do, since you would be doing the same things over and over again, each time you went to a new directory. One other advantage that comes along with Automated Article Submission Software is the ability to do away with a monthly bill attached to having articles submitted to numerous different directories. In addition, most times you will notice the software increases your ranking with search engines as well. Unfortunately, one of the downsides that come along with the Automated Article Submission Software is that you still have to know how to write. If you don’t then you have to hire a person to do it for you. This software is definitely not made with the intention of helping people with the writing of articles, only with submissions. The web has become a wide market in the business field. Publication Submissions Steer clear of companies that use cloaked, doorway, or bridge pages to raise your positions. The most critical part of affiliate marketing is of course marketing. Related Tutorial | | |

| Don't Send Them Home: Send Traffic to a Landing Page November 24, 2009 at 1:21 pm |
| In my last post about optimizing landing pages for PPC, one of our awesome readers asked a great question that deserved a good follow-up post. The Question by Sean Why do marketers recommend having your PPC ad go straight to the landing page as opposed to the homepage? I would have figured that the consumer needs the rest of the website to understand and trust the brand before jumping [into] the purchase. Why are conversion rates higher for ads that just go straight to selling? That is a very important question, and it is often a difficult concept for many general marketers and people who are new to online marketing. There is a notion that the consumer needs to know and trust the brand first in order to feel confident about eventually buying the product. Sean's question above is a prime example of this. The Issue with the Home Page If I may be so bold, I believe that a company can more easily build its brand and reputation by providing a solution to the visitor's problem. Directing the potential visitors to a specific landing page with the answers they need is a key component to doing that. Let's go through a little role-play to create an example. Let's say you are on Google searching for a netbook and the first result is Dell. Okay, so pop quiz hot shot: Would you, the visitor, prefer to go to Dell's homepage and search through the website until you find the page about netbooks, or would you be more satisfied just going to the actual netbooks page and finding an immediate solution to your query? The answer is obvious, and that is why in the search results you'll see the netbooks' page in the results. Looking at the screen shots below, as a consumer which one interests you more when searching for “netbooks?” SERPs: Why You Want a Landing Page Sure, Dell is a recognized and trusted brand, but it is even more important for a smaller company to send people to the right page. When you are a well-known brand such as Dell, you have the luxury of knowing that if a visitor lands on the home page, they know that Dell offers netbooks and will likely take the time to find the page they need on their own. A smaller company, though, that is not as well-known to a visitor will not be so lucky. If a visitor does not find the solution to their search query when they land on the home page they will most likely turn around and try a different website. Give the visitors the answers to their problems, and then if they need to be reassured about the brand or company they are buying from, they still have access to the rest of the website to do the necessary research. This is the main reason you'll see higher conversion rates for PPC and SEO landing pages than when people are directed straight to the home page. If you have other questions or points to make about this subject, please feel free to make a comment. | | | | |

| SEO and Social Media Benchmarking November 22, 2009 at 9:36 am |
| Posted by RobOusbey Introduction We'll often rattle off various metrics quite casually in conversation, but it's easy to forget that others (such as your clients!) might not know whether these are big numbers or small ones. For example: "We've just published a guest post on a site with Domain mozTrust 5.67. Mr_Gadget mentioned it to his 64 thousand followers, and it managed to get over 1,000 Diggs." This post should be useful to anyone who needs to orientate themselves around such numbers. The Website Benchmarks section shows metrics for around half a dozen sites from ten different niches (based on the list originally prepared for comparing SEOMoz Trifecta data.) This is followed by Social Media Benchmarks, to give an idea of the impact and influence of votes and people on three popular social websites. Links and Traffic: Website Benchmarks This section uses three particular metrics: - Domain mozRank: the strength of a website, based on the sites & pages that link to it,
- Domain mozTrust: the trustworthiness of a website, based on links from trusted sites & pages,
- Unique Vistors: Compete.com's estimate of the number of monthly unique visitors to a site.
N.B.: The 'moz' metrics use data exposed by SEOMoz's Linkscape, and are on an exponential scale from 0 - 10. Data collected in 2006 suggested that the no visitor metric - Compete included - could be used to precisely estimate unique visitors to blogs at the time. | Website | DmR | DmT | Visitors | | U.S. Department of Education | 7.63 | 8.33 | 6,270,175 | | ConsumerReports | 6.94 | 7.24 | 4,339,086 | | Consumer Web Watch | 5.97 | 6.31 | 12,213 | | Consumerist | 5.63 | 5.91 | 796,933 | | South Carolina Department of Education | 5.44 | 6.12 | 4,467 | | No Nonsense Self Defense | 4.86 | 5.34 | 18,278 | | Inner Strength | 3.71 | 4.32 | 1,055 | | Acqua Beauty Bar | 3.55 | 3.84 | 1,383 |

Social Media Benchmarks Digg is a well established social media site. After a user submits a link (refered to as a story) other users 'Digg' the story if they like it. Stories with a greater number of Diggs are more likely to be promoted to the site's front page, be seen by more visitors, and receive more traffic. Users can also 'bury' stories that are off-topic or duplicate. | 3 Simple Ideas that will get backlinks, even if you don't ask November 21, 2009 at 10:21 pm |
|
Building backlinks to your site isn't easy, but not impossible. Lets discuss some quick and easy ways to source links to your site, without having to go through the tedious and boring link exchange/request process (which in my opinion is a wasteful exercise). When looking for building backlinks to your site, I always suggest to make it a practice to put on your "users hat". Being the webmaster will blind you from other perspectives and make you focus too much on the numbers/number of backlinks and most of the time, make you un-impressive, which unfortunately, you wouldn't realize at the time of sourcing links. The only possible way out is to be genuinely interesting and charming, so that even if you didn't ask, compel people to link to you. So what are the ways ? Let's see. 1. Build compelling content, that others can't possibly avoid sharing. Remember, you have your users hat on. So what are the things that you will look for in a story to make it worth sharing ? Exclusive content, or content that isn't seen anywhere else. Content that's fresh and new. When I say exclusive content, people tend to get negative. Comments come up like – "How can a normal website like mine deliver exclusive content ? We are no news agency! " The answer is that you needn't be a news agency to deliver exclusive content. As I've repeated many times earlier, a lot depends on how you "package the content". Any normal story can be made exclusive if you bring out an unexplored perspective to it. Well, normal sites will remain normal, people will only notice you if you try being different. A personally favourite example is Tremendous News. Which is a hilarious website for its content is fun, engaging and compelling. There is nothing new they deliver there but the way they write it is amazing. And there is no way you're not sharing stories from there, its so compelling. 2. Be a News Breaker or the next best thing. If you can afford it, do it. These days you get information from all sides and its only those who use it well who benefit, others are simply overwhelmed an drift away without making a difference. Again, you don't have to be a news agency to deliver news. After all, we all know there's only one BBC, CNN and TC. Be the next best thing. Be the best reviewer. When a new product is launched, be the next best reviewer, bring some "awesomeness" into it and write about it before others do. Act quickly, and even if you're not a new agency, you can be the next best thing to it. 3. Be surprisingly and deliberately negative. What does it mean ? Just listen to the crowd. If everyone says "Yes!" you say "Yes and No"..when everyone says "No" you say "No and Yes" ! Well, its not simple as it sounds but the crux is that, you try and be deliberately different from the rest, just to get the mileage from it. This has to be dealt with carefully, because being blunt against everything will give you negative aura. Instead try and package your content to balance it out. May be the title of your content can be very "different" while the real content is not. Balance it out. A favorite example of mine is this one – TED India – Waste of time and money So, there you have it, three simple yet effective ways to be fetching backlinks strategically without the mundane outdated methods of link exchanges and link requests. | Google now indexes pages via RSS/Atom feeds on your site October 30, 2009 at 8:42 am |

Hah ! Just what we needed. In its endless efforts to make the life easier for webmasters, Google has now understood that indexing RSS feeds and Atoms could be yet another value addition to their arsenal of indexing tools. Google generally would use incoming links, sitemaps, etc to index new files and websites, and with this new addition newer websites won't find it hard to get indexed on Google. All you need to do is set up your RSS/Atom feed and as an added measure make sure your Robots.txt file doesn't block it. In my opinion this feature had been in practice for quite some time, but its only now that Google announced it officially. Anyways, all good for webmasters.
